Workshops - Mini-University

The Child Survival Mini University IV

Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

The fourth Child Survival Mini-University was held on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, from June 5-9, 2006. Participants included representatives from PVO headquarters and field sites, USAID staff, and the CA community. Field staff included PVO project managers and representatives from local partner organizations.

This year's event focused on the key intervention areas of grantees who most recently submitted their Detailed Implementation Plans, including 14 programs in 13 countries and provided opportunities for dialogue on cross- cutting issues such as equity, monitoring and evaluation, behavior change, and sustainability planning.

The objectives of this year's CSHGP Mini-University were to provide:

  1. A forum through which CSHGP Grantees can showcase the progress of their newest projects that officially started in October 2005;
  2. A mechanism for developing new and stronger partnerships between CSHGP grantees and key implementing partners of USAID's Bureau for Global Health.
  3. An opportunity to connect on an individual basis with people who share common interests and a common commitment to advancing global health.
  4. An opportunity for grantees to get feedback on their Detailed Implementation Plans and approval decisions from CSHGP staff.

  5. By clicking on a date (listed below) you will be able to view or download all powerpoint presentations from that day (in zipped format), for both plenary and technical sessions. You can also click on each agenda item, if available, (in blue) to view or download an individual presentation (or a zipfile containing all presentations from that session) .
