- The way the
user is able to choose--can bring out some things not previously
thought about
- There’s
an open menu
- Integrated
approach; will help you select how to pick indicators
- Guidance through
capacity building of organization/community, especially with indicators
- Incorporates
flexibility in defining indicators; Incorporates flexibility where
consensus is open (i.e. institutional strengthening and stringent
where consensus is agreed upon (such as Measles and Rapid CATCH
indicators)
- Good in the
long term
- Access to anyone
with Internet
- Global health
could invest more in strengthening PVOs/NGOs and the local partners--shows
that small PVOs/NGOs are more genuine players.
- Abstract things
that are hard to be quantified can be better represented
- Online assistant
good for headquarters staff
- Very comprehensive
tool
- Indicator categorization
- Presents opportunity
to synthesize and present findings (sustainability change)
- It's a working
tool--additions can be added (indicators, etc.)
- Includes evaluation
tools and plans
- Good attempt
to highlight value of components
- Potential to
provide empowerment at the community level
- Captured all
major components of a complex issue
- Provides mechanism
to get successes out
- Forum to better
share ideas
Dislikes
- Confusion on
first presentation
- Not so hot
in the short term: It is another tool. It requires more training
and some amount of manpower and time commitment on the part of the
NGO
- Requires technology
and a modem
- Question the
length of time in measuring
- Need to somehow
evaluate what is going on 5-10 years down the line
- Need to spend
more time studying/understanding the model
- Don't like
the name (it's a mouthful!)
- Labor intensive
- Will probably
require external facilitator
- Items may be
subjective
