The Child Survival Mini University II

Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
June 7-11 2004

The second Child Survival Mini University was held on the campus of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, from June 7-11 2004. Participants included representatives from PVO headquarters and field sites, USAID staff, and the CA community. Field staff included PVO project managers and representatives from local partner organizations in 13 countries.

The specific objectives of this year's CSHGP Mini-University were:

  1. To provide a forum for cross-learning, information sharing, and networking, between the PVO community, USAID staff, and the CA community.
  2. To provide a forum for CSHGP Grantees to receive technical feedback specific to their Detailed Implementation Plans, and guidance from USAID on how to proceed in terms of final approval of their DIPS.
  3. To provide opportunities for dialogue and technical updates on specific interventions; monitoring and evaluation, sustainability planning, management approaches, and other relevant topics, for the purpose of strengthening the implementation of CSHGP-funded grants.
