The Key Indicators are a group of recommended indicators that provide important information in each technical intervention area for program managers. These indicators are not required but are highly suggested for in each technical area in which the project is intervening. The Key Indicators (questions and tabulation plans) can be found in the relevant KPC Module. The Key Indicators include::
Clean cord care
Active management of the third stage of labor (AMTSL)
Post-partum visit for the mother
Thermal care
Immediate breastfeeding of newborns
Possession of child health care - ever had
Current possession of child health card
Antigen-dose specific coverage of immunizations
Drop-out rate for DPT immunizations
Household ownership of ITNs
Intermittent presumptive treatment for malaria (IPT)
Increased fluid intake during diarrheal episode
Continued feeding during diarrheal episode
Zinc treatment
Non-use of medicine during diarrheal episode
Safe disposal of feces
Appropriate hand-washing practices
