The Rapid Health Facility Assessment (R-HFA) was developed in 2006 by the Child Survival Technical Support (CSTS+) project in collaboration with MEASURE Evaluation and a panel of experts from US PVOs, USAID, and other cooperating agencies.

CIDR (Centre International
de Développement et de Recherche) has developed a methodological guide and a
survey guide to assess the viability of primary health care centers in
developing countries. The documents are in French and posted with authorization
from CIDR. Methodological support in using the methodology is available
